My theory is, “We activate our creative potential with joy.” As a joy coach with two decades of experience in the creativity field, I have plenty of what academics call ‘anecdotal’ evidence to support my theory. Our gift to you…the biggest collection of soulmate sentiments on the internet!
I love the idea of setting aside a special day to celebrate sweetness. Folks in Ohio and Pennsylvania celebrate Sweetest Day on the third Saturday in October. Some people complain it’s a purely commercial venture to sell cards, flower, candy, and boost business at pricey restaurants. But what if we just look at the ‘sweet’ part? Deep listening is a wonderful way to practice mindfulness. It’s a call to slow down and be completely present in this moment. Right here. Right now. Breathe in the joy of life surrounding you. Let something catch your attention that tickles your fancy. And the next time things get tense…do something silly. more »
“Keep some room in your heart for the unimaginable.”
Have you been exercising your joy muscles? Can you name ten ‘joy things’ you do on a regular basis? Would you like to attract more joy in your life right now? All you need to do is start taking some baby steps. more »
I’m jumping without a net today. Leaving Someday Isle and entering Here I Am world. Am I ready? No. Are all my ducks in a row? Double no. Shouldn’t I wait until everything is just right and I’m happy with my ‘product’? Are you kidding? I’ve decided I’d rather be a bungling beginner than a perfect procrastinator. more »
